It's not just the size of your LinkedIn post that counts
There is one way to determine if your writing skills on LInkedIn are successful.
There has been a noticeable growth in the length of prose on LInkedIn. It’s not everyone, but (at least from my feed) it’s more than it was a month or two ago. And I think I know why.
Earlier in the year a piece of research came out stating LinkedIn’s algorithm prefers long text written for a post over custom photos, stock photos, videos, and links to other internet destinations (roughly in that order). Everything has a place and the paper encourages all of these media to be used together. But long text is best. For the algorithm.
The research was done by Bliss Point Consulting with other partners. Richard Bliss (founder of Bliss Point Consulting) shared this research at the Winter Workshop for the National Speakers Association. I had a chance to talk with him one-on-one. I strongly encourage that you download this free research paper at https://www.blisspointconsult.com/research/.
